3 Ways to Fix Fire TV Stick Stuck on Updating Issue

• Open Fire TV Stick settings > My Fire TV > About > Storage > check the available storage. If required, uninstall some apps to free up storage.
• Ensure you’re using the power adapter when connecting your Fire TV Stick to the TV. Then, try installing the update again.
• On your Fire TV Stick, select Settings > My Fire TV > Reset to Factory Defaults > Reset. Then, set up the device again and try installing the update.

Basic Fixes:

• Wait for the update to finish: If you’re updating to a newer OS version or haven’t updated your device in a while, your device might need time to finish things up. So, wait to see if your Fire TV Stick finishes updating on its own.
• Restart the Fire TV Stick: Restarting your device helps eliminate temporary glitches or bugs causing the Fire TV Stick to be stuck in an update loop. Use the Settings menu if you can access it. Otherwise, use the next fix.
• Unplug and re-plug the Fire TV Stick: If your Fire TV Stick keeps updating and restarting, manually unplugging it might help stop it. To do this, remove the plug for the Fire TV Stick from the wall socket and wait. Then, plug in the Fire TV Stick again and wait for it to start.
